DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe FIW Research Centre International Economics is pleased to announce
  its 19th Research Conference ‘International Economics’ and invites the
  submission of working papers to be presented at the conference. \n\nThe co
 nference will take place at the Vienna University of Economics and Business
  (WU Vienna) on 11th–12th February 2027. \n\nThe main objective of the co
 nference is to provide a platform for economists working in the field of In
 ternational Economics to present recent research. Papers from Ph.D. student
 s\, young faculty members and young researchers in similar positions are pa
 rticularly welcome\, as the conference aims to support and encourage young 
 economists by providing an opportunity to present their work to fellow juni
 or economists as well as experienced senior researchers. \n\nThe conference
  also aims at bringing together researchers and policymakers to provide a f
 orum for discussion on how empirical evidence can more effectively inform a
 ctual economic policymaking.    Paper Submission We invite the submission o
 f (full) working papers on all topics in the field of International Economi
 cs. Please submit your working papers via https://conference2027.fiw.ac.at 
 until 26th October 2026. Selection decisions will be communicated from late
  December 2026 until 15th January 2027. Time & Venue The 19th FIW Research 
 Conference ‘International Economics’ will take place on Thursday\, 11th
  February 2027 and Friday\, 12th February 2027 at the Vienna University of 
 Economics and Business (WU Vienna)\, Welthandelsplatz 1\, 1020 Vienna\, Aus
 tria. Keynote Lecture Professor Felix Tintelnot (Duke University)   Awards 
 Two prizes for the best contributions to the Research Conference will be aw
 arded:  Best Conference Paper Award 2027: €1\,000 Young Economist Award 2
 027: €1\,000  <p class="important">Note: The ‘Young Economist Award 202
 7’ is intended for Ph.D. students\, young faculty members and young resea
 rchers in similar positions. To be considered for this award\, all authors 
 of the paper have to be 34 or younger at the time of submission.   Topics C
